Just a note: you should be precise in mentioning that you mean Rest (restful / rest-like) APIs. Nevermind the fact that API is a broad term that defines any means of interaction between developers and some exposed resource (could be a library), this article doesn’t touch even all web or http APIS. There’s also grpc or xml/RPC for whom these practices don’t (totally) have value.
