Just one objection.

You say it will retain its second hand value. But it won’t (maybe sort-of, before the launch of M1X pros).

If the current M1 lineup is anything to go by, the new Pros will undercut a bit the older 2019 Intel Pros. Which means you’ll need to cut the second hand price ever lower.

Not long ago you could take for granted that MacBook Pros would retain their value even in the long run but I wouldn’t take that for granted anymore, on the Intel ones.
