Very true. That’s the kind of thing that should’ve been built to in advance, maybe with the help of legislation. Sure, I can brag about how parental (where I’m at, by law) goes to 24 months of which parents can split however they want but the last 2 months must be taken by dad or they are lost (if the mom takes all, she can take 22). That comes with job protection, 70% of salary and so on. And dads do take it, some more water than others, but that has helped shift mentalities and get dad’s more involved and connected.

I can’t overstate the importance of this, when you have middle management men talk diapers, kindergartens and how to put babies to sleep around coffee breaks.
