Well, not that it makes any difference. LISP isn’t popular. Perl isn’t popular anymore. But they have their role, their purpose and user base.

But it’s an important thing to know. Today there are more programmers than ever before. The market is so large that specializing in something like this may not be worthwhile anymore.
